The Palmetto State Abortion Fund (PSAF) is a South Carolina-based organization that facilitates access to illegal abortion.

Verified text messages and emails reveal PSAF secretly arranging to pick up a minor from her home, offering to fund her abortion, and deliberately doing so behind the mother’s back. These actions show a blatant disregard for parental rights and violate laws protecting minors, mandatory reporting obligations, and medical drug distribution regulations.

PSAF’s ongoing operations, particularly their presence on college campuses, demand immediate criminal investigation and full institutional severance.

Coastal Carolina University (CCU) maintains direct ties to the Palmetto State Abortion Fund through Dr. Ina Seethaler, Director of the Women’s & Gender Studies program, who also serves as PSAF’s Director of College Outreach and advisor to the campus Planned Parenthood Action group.

PSAF representatives are regularly invited as guest speakers, and CCU is the only South Carolina school with an explicit partnership with PSAF. By giving institutional support to an organization documented as funding abortions for minors without parental consent and distributing unregulated abortion pills by mail, CCU has aligned itself with activity that raises serious legal, ethical, and public safety concerns. Especially for its student body.

CCU continues to ignore and disregard all presented evidence.

In February, Coastal Carolina University issued an indefinite trespass notice against a peaceful advocate who was distributing Abortion Pill Reversal (APR) literature, a medically recognized, life-saving protocol.

The individual was in a public campus space, engaging in constitutionally protected speech, yet university officials claimed the content did not qualify as “free speech.” CCU police threatened her, along with two like-minded students, with arrest.

This blatant violation of First Amendment rights highlights the university’s viewpoint discrimination and double standard, silencing pro-life voices while platforming groups like the Palmetto State Abortion Fund (PSAF). Legal and institutional accountability is urgently needed.
